Born in the South West of France, Julie moved to Ireland in 2004 and has since plied her trade in some of Dublin’s finest establishments such as Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, The Greenhouse and Chapter One. She has been a freelance wine consultant since 2014, both in Ireland and internationally. Always an avid Sommelier competitor, Julie’s crowning moment came in 2016 where she placed 3rd in the world at the ASI’s Best Sommelier of the World competition in Mendoza, Argentina. As President of the IGS, her goal is to inspire others and to give them the kind of encouragement she was fortunate to have in her early life.

ANDREW O’ GORMAN, B.A(ECON) H.DIP. ED, MA, NTDADIP,WSET, Secretary, former Chairman and Technical Director Irish Guild of Sommeliers.
Andrew developed and ran beverage courses for many years and has published seven books and co-authored two others, all related to the drinks industry along with many articles published in drinks publications nationally and internationally.
He won the award that is dedicated to the best journalistic or literary works that have as their theme the profession of the sommelier in a competition created by the Italian Sommelier Association and the International Sommelier Association in conjunction with Moët & Chandon Champagne. The presentation was made at Villa Nobel, San Marino, Italy in 2013.

Harriet was introduced to the Guild in 2010 when she studied the wine module on the Culinary Arts Course in DIT Cathal Brugha Street. She has enjoyed being IGS treasurer for 8 years. She has studied WSET level 2
